01 Oct Give Serve Grow Prosper Cycle
Since relationships make your business, start where you are and build from there. Here are a few ideas on how to make the most of our motto: Give. Serve. Grow. Prosper.
1) Listen and Learn from those you meet. As you listen, understand the needs they have. Ask follow up questions to add depth to what you understand.
2) Give and Serve. Once you understand a person’s needs, and you feel you can help, take action when and where you can. To me, these 2 verbs produce different actions. Giving can mean many things, but may include one or more of the following: money and resources, connections, ideas and insights, and possibly even lessons learned. Serving can also mean many things to different people, but for me it includes time, and sometimes sacrifice.
3) Grow and Prosper. Growth happens in the form of new business, as well as in the changes you make within you organization to improve trust and the relationships you have with internal and external customers. Prosperity comes over time as a byproduct of becoming a better organization. The Law of Reciprocity is the law that Givers get. Givers do gain, but for the experienced giver, they know it’s more transformational than it is transactional. It’s about becoming!
Make this the only way you’ll do business, because it’s not just a pleasant idea. It works! Just give it time.
